Bloomsdale Spinach Planting Instructions

Bloomsdale Spinach grows best in full sun, planted 1/2 inch deep and about 1" apart. Sow the seeds as soon as the soil becomes workable in the spring. Space plants in rows 12 to 18" apart.

Thin to 2 to 6" between plants. If starting plants indoors, transplant outside 3 to 6 weeks before the last frost. Spinach requires constant moisture to ensure successful germination and prevent bolting.

Ā

Bloomsdale Spinach Harvesting Instructions

Once the leaves have reached an edible size, the spinach can be harvested. Harvest leaves before they turn yellow.

Use a knife to cut below the crown before picking. Spinach can be enjoyed fresh or frozen for later use.
